AIDS Vancouver

AIDS Vancouver was founded in 1983 as the first AIDS service organization in Canada.

The agency was formed in response to an emerging disease that was starting to infect and affect local communities in Vancouver, specifically gay men.

Programs:
Initial client intake, orientation to our services, & short-term assistance.

Case Management:
Information, support, and care coordination for persons living with HIV/AIDS

Support Programs:
Companionship and practical assistance for people living with HIV/AIDS

Grocery:
Distribution of a food supplement to people living with HIV in Vancouver.

Financial Assistance Fund:
Limited, short-term financial assistance to persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Prevention & Awareness Programs:
Education and information to the community on HIV/AIDS
