Community Campaign Fundraiser

     

The Surrey foundation is gearing up for a two week Community Grants Fund Campaign to be held November 1-15. November 15 is National Philanthropy Day.

We are challenging businesses across Surrey to raise $300,000. We've set this number because this is approximately the dollar value of the grant requests for worthy projects we received last spring that we couldn't support due to insufficient fund. We, like you, would like this comming year's story to be much happier!

Every dollar raised by the Surrey Foundation stays right here in Surrey.

We are inviting businesses to participate whatever way they want. Some examples would be a straight out donation, a collection from customers at the till, a percentage of sales, sales from a particular item, 10 cents for every plastic bag a customer does not take, a hotdog fundraiser at the door, etc. Whatever you want to do, it is up to you. But we need your help!

Business that contribute $20 or more will be presented with a charitable tax receipt. As well, those businesses will be thanked for on our website with an option to show the amount they contributed. If you are able to join us, Surrey Now will recognize you as our campaign partner.
